Police are investigating after a human hand was found in the mail at an Ottawa post office, hours after a decomposing foot was sent toCanada's Conservative Party.
Detectives said both packages originated in the city of Montreal, where a dismembered torso was discovered by a janitor in a suitcase in a pile of rubbish.
All three body parts will undergo forensic testing to discover if they came from the same person.
The tests will also reveal whether the person was alive when the parts were severed, according to public broadcaster CBC.
The first package was partly opened by the receptionist at the headquarters of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's party, who called the police after seeing blood stains and becoming overwhelmed by the smell.
