 HOUSTON – Dozens of people gathered Friday to remember two Missouri City sisters who died in a catastrophic plane crash in Nigeria Sunday.

HOUSTON – Dozens of people gathered Friday to remember two Missouri City sisters who died in a catastrophic plane crash in Nigeria Sunday.

Jennifer and Josephine Onita were there to celebrate a wedding.

Jennifer Onita, a former NASA employee, had recently gone back to U of H to earn a PhD. in biomedical engineering. Josephine Onita ran the family business, a financial planning and tax office. 

All 153 people on board the plane died.

Officials are blaming engine trouble, but don’t know the exact cause
