New York Knicks Star Amare Stoudemire Gets Engaged!
New York Knicks star Amare Stoudemire is engaged! The all-star center popped the question to the mother of three children, Alexis Welch, on Saturday. Amare, playing up the whole romance thing, decided to pop the question in the City of Love.
He confirmed the event on Twitter, telling his followers:
“Paris, the food and lights were very romantic. When she said yes, it was surreal. I’m still floating. #engaged #blessed,” he wrote, adding a picture of Alexis holding out her hand with the engagement ring on it.
He added in a statement:
“I have been planning my proposal for a while and overlooking the entire Paris skyline seemed like a perfect place. I am so happy she said ‘Yes’ and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife.”
Congrats to the couple.
