Nigerian rapper, Babalola Falemi, otherwise known as Sauce Kid has announced he’s changing his stage name.
The rapper on Friday, July 20, 2012 via micro blogging site, Twitter, officially dropped the alias Sauce Kid, saying he now wants to be addressed as Sinzu SMG.
‘Officially dropped the alias ‘Sauce Kid’’, the rapper tweeted. He has since changed his twitter handle from @oluwasaucekibaba to @SinzuSMG.
In similar fashion, pop star Wizkid has also hinted at a name change. ‘Wiz Dropping the kid!..’, @Wizkidayo tweeted. A fan approved by tweeting back at Wizzy ‘Drop it like it’s hot!’.
Wizzy is currently on tour in the North America while Sinzu is promoting his new single with Timaya titled ‘L.O.K.O‘.
While the reason behind Sauce’s rebranding remains uncertain, Wizkid, we’re told, is adjusting his brand, to suit his new image as a grown music maker. ‘He wants people to see he has transformed from ‘boy to man’, one source tells us.
