ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS MAKING YOU FAT AND DIABETES-PRONE: IS WHITE SUGAR IS BETTER ?

 
New research shows that artificial sweeteners - like Sweet N Low, Equal, NutraSweet & Splenda - alter your metabolism, change the makeup of the "good" bacteria in your gut and make it easier for you to put on weight and become diabetic.
The high-powered artificial sweeteners in your diet soda, yogurt and those innocent-looking little packets of "diet sugar" that you dump into your coffee every morning can, paradoxically, RAISE your blood sugar levels instead of reducing it.

Why? It's all in the "microbiome" - the bacterial environment in your intestines. People who regularly consume fake sweeteners change the bacteria in the gut to (evil) bacteria that don't process calories normally. The new study - just published in the prestigious medical journal Nature - proved a correlation between artificial sweetener consumption and a susceptibility to glucose intolerance, the same biological disturbance that is responsible for Type 2 (adult-onset) diabetes.
My advice? Ditch ALL of these artificial sweeteners and use real sugar, a teaspoon of which contains a paltry 15 calories. Yes, you read that correctly - regular old sugar, in limited amounts, appears to be far safer than all of these super-sweet chemicals. Your gut bacteria, your blood sugar - and your jeans - will thank you.
