Ibori's imprisonment: Stay away from our Town, Oghara Youths warns Journalists.

Following the eventual imprisonment of a man who they adjudged as their Leader, Youths of Oghara, home town of the jailed Ex-Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, has vowed to deal mercilessly with any Journalist who visit their
Community with the intent of extracting stories calculated to make a mockery of the situation.
The Youths made this threat known today when a Journalist of one of the National Dailies visited the Community to sample opinions of the residents on the ongoing imbroglio.
They stated categorically, their resolve to stand by their Leader whom they described as a victim of high powered political intrigue, and warned Journalists to stay away from Oghara as anyone who flouts this order will have his or herself to be blamed saying they will resist any attempt by the Nigerian Press to rubbish their Leader.
A drive round the Community showed a general pensive mood as residents gather in cluster obviously discussing the incidence.
Chief Ibori was sentenced to a 13yrs imprisonment yesterday by a London Court for money laundering and fraud running into millions of pounds in a trial that lasted for over a year after an initial extradition from South Africa where he was earlier arrested.
A Native of Ogharha in Ethiop East LGA of Delta State. Ibori became the Governor of Delta state in 1999 upon Nigeria's return to civil rule after several years of Military dictatorship.
He was known to have survived absolutely every case instituted against him in Nigeria, prominent among them is a protracted ex convict case instituted against him by Goodnews Alaba and co, and a 180 count charge of corruption brought against him by the Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC) which was equally discharged and acquitted.
Ibori has done a lot for his Oghara people, prominent among them is; tying of several link roads in the Community, sitting of one of the State stadia, and Polytechnic, location of the Delta state University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH) and many more too numerous to mention.
