Kidnappers Of Ex-Minister Of Interior, Capt. Ihenacho, Demand N20m Ransom
Investigations by LEADERSHIP revealed that the gunmen numbering over five and armed with sophisticated weapons had targeted Mrs. Nkwuorgu, who returned from the United States for a funeral ceremony, believing she came back with a lot of foreign currency.
Another eye witness disclosed that the gunmen deceived Mrs. Nkworgu, by claiming to be policemen sent by their purported superior officer to bring her to a nearby police station. A man at the scene who suspected foul play opted to accompany Mrs. Nkworgu to the police station, but he was shot dead by the kidnappers for trying to prevent them from carrying out their operation.
