STATE GOVS SHUN MEETING WITH BAMANGA TUKUR

Peoples Democratic Party National Chairman, Alhaji Bamaga Tukur, was forced to postponed a meeting of the PDP National Working Committee with governors in Abuja on Thursday after a low turnout.Tukur said the meeting had to be postponed indefinitely because of the low turnout of the governors, adding that that the NWC could not continue with the meeting, which was meant to discuss important party issues.

He attributed the low turnout of the governors to the fact that some of them travelled with President Goodluck Jonathan outside the country. Tukur also said the notice of the meeting might not have been communicated to the governors on time.He said, “Some of the issues we want to discuss are time bound and until we are able to get a full house we cannot discuss them.

“It is so important that we want to unveil the policies of the party and this is not the right forum now.”
