JUSTICE SALAMI: MTN LOGS CALLS AND CAN BE SUBPOENA IN COURT

MTN Finally Confirms That Justice Salami Received Suspicious Calls

The lingering crises over the Appeal Court judgements that took some governorship seats in some South-West states from the PDP and handed same to the ACN is finally tacking shape.

MTN has finally laid to rest the controversy over the genuineness of the call logs earlier rejected as credible evidence by the National Judicial Council’s (NJC’s) probe panel. They have now confirmed that the logs are indeed genuine and was released by them.

Ex-governors Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Segun Oni of the Peoples Democratic Party, had gone to court claiming that MTN deliberately released incomplete call data to NSA in order to protect Salami and certain politicians. They are accused those involved of unethical communications during the trial of appeals arising from the governorship elections in the two states.

They are asking for N150 billion damages and revocation of MTN’s operational licence. To save their head,  MTN has now confirmed the call data covering five months  as authentic.
