Cup of coffee with menstrual blood leads to court case vs Indonesian maid
An Indonesian maid was haled to court last Tuesday on charges she added menstrual blood to her Singaporean employer's coffee cup last year.
The maid was charged with mischief for serving the bloody drink to her employer at a flat in Choa Chu Kang last August 31, Singapore's Straits Times reported.
Court records showed the small-built maid had been working for the 38-year-old employer for about a year.
She pleaded guilty through an Indonesian interpreter, the Straits Times story said.
However, it was not mentioned in the report if the maid mixed her blood in the coffee out of retaliation for maltreatment.
The maid's case will be heard in a week's time. A bail of $5,000 was offered
