Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa State says no amount of accusation and insinuation from opposition parties against his government would deter him from carrying out laudable projects.
Lamido stated this on Friday in Dutse while receiving the new executive members of the Jigawa State branch of the People Democratic Party (PDP) who paid him a courtesy call.
He said that going by the scope of achievements of his administration, the opposition parties had no concrete basis to criticise his government.
The governor, who congratulated the new executive members on their election, said they were assuming the leadership at a critical period.
Lamido said this was because the 2015 general election would be conducted during their tenure.
Earlier, the new PDP Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Mamuda, said the visit was to formally introduce themselves to the governor.
Mamuda, who was accompanied by the 27 local government Chairmen of his party, said he would uphold the manifestoe of the party for the betterment of the people.
