NUC RELEASES NAMES OF THEIR STAFF INVOLVED 

Five top officials the National Universities Commission lost their lives in the ill-fated DANA flight 


The National Universities Commission (NUC) on Monday in Abuja said it lost five of its principal officers in the DANA Air plane crash in Lagos on Sunday.

This is contained in a statement issued by the management of the commission in Abuja.


In the statement, the NUC said the officials were travelling for an official assignment to Lagos.

They are Prof, Celestine Onwuliri, the Chairman, Standing Committee on Private Universities, a professor of Zoology and former Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri; Mahmud Dukawa , Deputy Director, Treasury; Maimuna Shuaibu, Deputy Director, Open Distance Education; Sonny Ehioghae, Deputy Director (Establishment & Staff Matters) and Chinwe Obi, Deputy Director, Facilities & Infrastructure.
The late Prof.Onwuliri is the husband of Viola Onwuliri, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

CBN releases names of victims

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, today, released the names its staff involved in the ill-fated Dana plane crash on Sunday at Iju/Ishaga area of Lagos State. In a release by CBN which was made available to Vanguard through e-mail, the victims are: Amiaka Raphael.O (Senior Manager), Antonia Attuh (Senior Manager), Bamaiyi Adamu (Senior Supervisor).
Others include; Falmata Kur Mohammed (Assisstant Director), Ibrahim Yusuf (Principal Manager),Kim E Norris (Special Adviser to the CBN Governor), Mutihir I.I (Deputy Manager), Samuel Eventus Mbong (Manager).
