PLANE CRASH IN USA AS PILOT CRASHES INTO A FENCE... BUT NO ONE DIED, EMERGENCY RESCUE WAS THERE IN MINUTES AND THAT'S WHY?

Child in fair condition after DeKalb County plane crash

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An 11-year-old boy is in fair condition after he and his father were involved in a plane crash in DeKalb County on Monday night, according to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite.
Anthony Barnes,11, was injured after his father's small Cessna plane crashed in the backyard of Tom Wroblewski's home on Hawthorne Drive two miles short of DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.
"I had just been in that area using a blower, so I wouldn't have heard anything coming if I were outside," Wroblewski said. "I would have been flattened like a pancake. It's a miracle."
He said he couldn't believe his eyes.
"I turned around and heard screaming and I was like, 'Wow this is crazy,'" Wroblewski said.
Barnes and his father were trapped inside the cabin, begging for help.
"The boy was screaming," said Wroblewski, who pulled the boy from the plane. "He was more conscious. He seemed to be in more pain that the man."
The father was then able to pull himself out of the wreckage, Wroblewski said.
Pieces of the wings were lodged in nearby trees.
DeKalb Fire Rescue said the pilot reported fuel trouble moments before he went down.
"Given the severity of the crash, it's amazing how light their injuries were," said Assistant Fire Chief Steve Ham.
Emergency personnel transported the two to a nearby hospital with what they describe as non-life threatening injuries.
Neighbor Gretchen Thompson seemed shaken after hearing the crash.
"I've lived here 50 years, and I've been afraid of this," Thompson said. "Every time, they get closer and closer and more and more frequent."
"It's a very small plot of land, and they landed it like a helicopter," said neighbor Matthew Croft, who was amazed that there was no damage to the house, the fence or even the backyard shed. "They just landed it straight down in the middle of the backyard over there."
