An Islamic school in the Bukuru area of Jos in Plateau State was hit by a bomb a few minutes ago.
There is an ongoing gun battle in Jos, Plateau State.
The gun battle was preceded by an explosion.
This happened opposite the new secretariat of the Jos South Local Government Area along Bukuru Expressway.
It was learnt that after the explosion, a man who drove to the scene in a Vectra Opel car, brought out a rocket propelled gun, firing into the Muslim settlement in the area.
The Muslims reacted, with gunshots also.
The gunshot battle is still ongoing, sources said.
