Police Say Man Pointed Gun at Neighbor For Farting Outside His Apartment

Police say a 72 year old New Jersey man pointed a gun at his neighbor for passing gas outside his apartment.

Daniel Collins Jr. is accused of pointing a pistol at his neighbor and saying, “I’m going to put a hole in your head”, all because Collins’ neighbor farted as he walked past Collins’ apartment door.

Collins said he didn’t see his neighbor fart, but heard it from inside the apartment. His neighbor called the police and they found the gun in Collins car underneath the passenger seat.

Collins was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats. He was released on his own recognizance, McGurr said.
