A website has been created by folks hoping to capitalise on the ‘virality’ of the movement. The site features funny pictures and by-products of the #OgaAtTheTop movement, and tells visitors who would like their “design, song, remix, ring tone and other creative gene in you to win at least $500,” to email the materials to them.
But no… that’s not all.
There’s also an #OgaAtTheTop game now, which was developed by Lagos based game development outfit, Kuluya. Fittingly, the game involves a cartoon character depicting the Lagos NSCDC commandant, Shem Obafaiye, who the player controls as he goes up and amasses points on the way, probably to meet his #OgaAtTheTop. I never got to the end, so not sure if he finally meets his oga when he gets to the top or if he becomes the new #OgaAtTheTop.
Kuluya which has designed scores of games, intends to change the gaming landscape in Africa. Games from Kuluya have African players as the key focus.
On the site, the game is described thus: Navigate the questions mine field by using your mouse to control the character. Avoid all Top Level Domains! Daz All!
