Nigerian Police Woman who shot and Killed UNIBEN student suspended: Tension in Benin City!-Video

Following the protests and pleas by friends and family of Ibrahim Momodu, the final year student of the University of Benin, who was killed by a Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ogida Police Division, Mrs. Carol Afegbai, the body of the deceased has now been exhumed by the Edo state Police Command.
The student was killed by police officers on patrol led by Afegbai, while returning home on the 27th of May, at about 9pm. He was hastily buried by the police at the 3rd cemetery, and the DPO claimed that she only shot him on the leg but he bled to death on the way to the hospital.
The Edo state Police Pathologist, Dr. Wilson, led the team which exhumed Momodu's decomposing body.
Also, the government of Edo state has set up a judicial panel of enquiry to unravel the circumastances which led to the killing of the student of science laboratory technology.
This latest development is Following Students of the University of Benin  march round the streets of Benin, protesting the death of one of their own, a final student named Ibrahim Momodu, who was allegedly killed and hurriedly buried by men of the Ogida police station, in Benin.

According to reports, Ibrahim Momodu (pictured above) was allegedly killed on May 27th by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ogida station, Carol Afebgai (pictured above, right).

According to the deceased elder sister, Rebecca Egbe, Ibrahim was shot dead and buried the next day without the family even knowing he was dead.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Moses Eguavoen later told newsmen that Momodu was an armed robber, saying that a gun, bullets, two mobile phones and a bag was found on him. The family deny this. They say Momodu was not an armed robber and are asking for justice for their son.

Did you see how the police man was handling the gun he alleged was pulled by the student they killed and buried? He has eliminated the issue of finger prints evidence.
