On Tuesday, four governors from the Northern states of Kano, Adamawa, Niger and Jigawa, paid a solidarity visit to Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers.
The visit led to a clash at the airport when supporters of the minister of state for education, Nyesom Wike, staged a protest at the Port Harcourt International airport, and reportedly threw items at the convoy of the visiting governors. Supporters of the governor reportedly confronted them, which led to a skirmish at the airport that could have escalated but for the intervention of the men of the Police and SSS.

The visiting governors joined many others in calling for the redeployment of the Rivers police commissioner, Mbu Joseph from Rivers state over his alleged partisanship. They made a call for the introduction of state police and threatened that they might be forced to withhold support and funding for the police.
Here’s a photo from the visit. Considering how Amaechi and Lamido are always linked together as having plans to run on a joint ticket in 2015, this dance/bromance/whatever looks quite interesting.
