Abuja Business man Obinna Ekewuba Shot Dead By Assasins

An Abuja big boy, Ekewuba was found shot dead by people believed to be assassins on the Airport road a few days ago. Ekwy as he was fondly called was until his death a well known face in the Yahoo Yahoo  business in Abuja and many parts of the North. Insiders believe that the way and manner of his death shortly after he celebrated a big bash for his 2 year old son and blew millions on the birthday suggest that it was from a deal that went awry. According o family sources, the murderers did not tale anything from his car neither did they kill the wife who was in the car when he was murdered. The bash he held for his son was said to have been a cover for the celebration of a deal he and his group just struck before he was assassinated as his younger brother believed to be in the picture of the deal was all the while crying that he would avenge his death, claiming that those who had eaten from his sweat killed him. Sources gathered that Ekwy might have shortchanged some of the other members of the group by not giving them their dues hence the decision to eliminate him. Curiously, his closest friends who were also his business associates were said to have kept off his house even after the news of his death became public. Eye reports claimed that he was driving a Lexus Jeep when a car overtook his car and blocked him between the City gate and Lugbe junction. His wife who was with him was said to have also informed relations that while they were on their way, 2 friends had called to confirm whether he was going to the site in Lugbe that afternoon and what time he would be there.
His younger brother who is alleged to be aware the deadly deal, was reportedly crying and swearing to avenge Ekwy's death. His brother claims that those who had eaten from his sweat were the ones who killed him.
Sources insist Ekwy may have shortchanged some members of his '419' group by not giving them their dues hence the decision to eliminate him. The fact that his closest friends who were also his 'business associates'have avoided his house even after news of his death was made public leaves to be seen.

MEANWHILE:
US GOVT HAS LAUNCHED A WAR AGAINST NIGERIA ONLINE SCAMMERS

Nigerian scams, widely known throughout the world. Though they are often poorly disguised, some gullible people still fall for them, and become victims of greedy and sly fraudsters.

In the U.S, a new government's initiative may put an end to those practices. The body responsible for consumer protection, the Federal Trade Commission, recently signed a memorandum of understanding with two Nigerian agencies to increase cooperation against that type of scam.

"Cross-border scammers use fraudulent emails and other scams to bilk consumers all over the world, while undermining confidence in legitimate businesses," FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez said in a statement announcing the partnership.

The memorandum of understanding is the first to include a foreign criminal enforcement authority, the FTC said.

Looks like the U.S has had enough! Which country would be next to start hunt down on Nigerian scammers?
