Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo involved in Church sex scandal says God has asked him to keep quiet

Concerned members of the Common Wealth Of Zion Assembly, COZA church have expressed disappointment that their Pastor has not categorically accepted or denied the accusations levelled against him.
Fatoyinbo has been in the news since the the blogger and church member, Ese Walter made the confession some days ago.
However, the pastor who spoke on the accusations in the Sunday service has neither come out to refute or accept the allegation but claimed that when he asked God, God told him to keep quiet, a statement, which his teeming members have described as ‘immaterial.’
Some members of the church are strongly not in support of his silence rather they want him to come out and clear the air.
According to a member of the church who gave his name as Israel said the pastor should stop beating about the bush but come out to tell his members the whole truth.
“God can’t ask you to keep quiet in this matter because his name is at stake too. The church of God is being accused here and same God is telling him to keep quiet? That is immaterial, I can’t accept that. I came to church this morning to hear from him only for him to spoil my day with such statement.”
The man went on to say he would still continue to worship with the church “I’m not worshiping the man of God, my aim is to make heaven at last, that won’t stop me from going to the church but we should not lie against God,” he added.
Another lady who gave her name as Tees, said, “The truth is that members of the church will support their pastor. The girl will be at the receiving end even if she is telling the truth. That’s Africa for you. If it were Yankee, They would investigate this man.
Now the girl must feel like its a million people against one person. I believe her though, but I also believe she feels scorned. That is the root of all this revelation. Hell hath no fury like a “woman scorned”
For Simzie, the man of God is yet to clear the air on the matter.
According to her, “As far as I am concerned, you have not said anything to refute the allegation made against you, or maybe I do not understand your language. Just make it simple by saying NO, this never happened or better still if you are too proud or ashamed to confess to your subjects or congregation, then I suggest you go to a higher man of God and help yourself.
One thing I am sure of is that you need help. Why do I believe Ese? I went through something similar in the hands of a man of God who claimed that he was visited by Jesus Christ in his home. Ladies, we really have to be careful. There is so much deception going on now in the world,” she warned.
Another angry member of the ministry who would not want his name mentioned said he would be disappointed if the pastor is found guilty of the allegation.
According to him, “There’s no smoke without fire, a lady would not just wake up and start writing what she doesn’t know. I just pray he’s impeccable because this is big shame to the body of Christ,” he said.
Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of Common Wealth Of Zion Assembly addressed the sex scandal accusations made by popular blogger, Ese Walter's during the Sunday service.

Below is what he said to his congregation..

"I am sure you have read a lot about me on Twitter and social networks. You can't imagine how many people have called me...everyone is telling me, don't talk, that is the painful part but because I am your pastor and I don't like to take you for granted, I still want to bend it a little bit to talk about it.
Even up until this morning, calls from everywhere, even when I switch off my phone, they call my associates, tell him to ignore it, he should just move on. Some have been to our land and they are like wow, we understand"
"Now read my lips, I know there are people here that are not part of our church, read my lips, we are going to speak but we are consulting to come out with a robust reply. Before then I will not say anything, but I owe it to you as members that have made me proud and have made God proud"
"One thing you can be sure of is that my wife and I love u."
"Now you may sit down and say, why would they tell you that, in the first place. From this pulpit there are some things we don't say.
Maybe you remember that 2 years ago, we lost somebody in our family, I came to church, I preached, I danced, I didn't say it. That was even deeper for me because my destiny is not in anybody's hand...that loss was deeper for me than even this and I didn't talk so don't think it is a makeup. That is what we have been asked to do. When we asked God, God said be quiet. Thank you".

It has been more than 4 months now since pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of COZA ministries promised a “robust reply” to the scandal of sex allegation made against him by Miss Ese Walters, has anyone heard any reply at all? I gather he is still preaching and people are still going to his church.

My question is: where or when does one draw the line between an erring pastor and a "false prophet"? Before you belt out “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm” may I quickly remind you that the Bible says to test all spirits? At what point did this pastor transform from a mere man into God’s “anointed” pastor? As far as I can see, all pastors claim that God has called and anointed them, and they are believed without any questions asked or undergoing a test. That’s the best evidence anyone ever gets: self-proclamation!!

It’s not their mistakes or failures that one is concerned about, pastors are but humans and are liable to err like the rest of us; it’s the lack of accountability, humility, and abuse of trust that irks. Pastor Biodun has neither come out to deny the allegations nor shown contrition for abusing the trust of thousands of his followers. In spite of his attitude, his die-hard followers continue to bless him with their tithes and offerings, as they “catch” his anointing every Sunday. I hope he would show them some respect by coming clean with his “robust reply” soon. Better late than never, I’d say.

Back in August 2013 when the scandal broke out, I wrote a short article for Sahara Reporters which I feel inclined to share again now. Follow this link please: http://saharareporters.com/article/eight-nuggets-wisdom-ijabla-raymond

For those who have forgotten the story and what Pastor Biodun said, these weblinks should refresh your memories.
