462 lbs
American Idol winner Ruben Studdard may have been eliminated from The Biggest Loser, but that doesn't mean he's giving up on his weight loss goals. The soulful singer stopped by THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW on December 10 to show off his new look and dish about his big — er, small — plans for the future.

When Ruben started The Biggest Loser, he tipped the scale at 462 pounds — but joining the reality show wasn't just about his appearance. Ruben has a family history various health conditions, and during his pre-Biggest Loser medical examination was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
"I most definitely want to be around for a long time," Ruben said at the beginning of his journey. "This has really, like, given me a second chance."
Now, Ruben is 112 pounds lighter(!) and looking forward to reaching his goal weight — which he's keeping secret for the time being — by his next birthday in September 2014.
His key to keeping it off? Good old-fashioned diet and exercise. "I get my big boy out of the bed each morning," he told Wendy, adding that he will not go the gastric bypass surgery route. "I listen to music so I can practice while I'm running."
Ruben, who has a new album coming out in February, also manages his diet by counting calories — which unfortunately means cutting out his favorite junk food. "I do not eat bacon," he said, "I do eat turkey bacon though." Talk about dedication!
