ngige5-1580606253ngig1_2-1498218845Contrary to the sainthood exhibited by former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige, it has been revealed that the former governor bought a choice property in far away Maryland USA in 2008.
On the March 7, 2008, Ngige bought a property in Montgomery County, Maryland USA worth $922,000.00 (Nine Hundred and Twenty Two thousand US dollars) – N148m after he was removed from office forcefully (see documents of the purchase below).
“One would imagine that Ngige bought this property considering the short period he held forth as Governor of Anambra State.
“It would have been a looting galore if he was given the chance to complete his tenure and seek a second term,” a source said.
Chris Ngige, who is currently serving as Senator of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in recently conducted Anambra State governorship election.
“We had this information before the election but we kept silent so as to avoid being accused of being used by Ngige’s opponents.
“One would have expected that Chris Ngige was an exception considering the respect accorded him by the people of Anambra state and his co-travellers in the APC,” the source said.
