Obanikoro, a former PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State was the first nominee to be screened.
He was accompanied by Senators Teslim Folarin and Iyiola Omisore and other key figures in the South West zone.
He read out his curriculum vitae, saying he had served as local government chairman, commissioner, Senator and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ghana.
In line with the Senate tradition, he was simply asked to take a bow.
Gusau was also asked to take a bow after the Senate President, David Mark, introduced him as a graduate of the inaugural class of the Nigerian Defence Academy.
