A 74-year-old woman who served 32 years for a murder she did not commit released



A 74-year-old woman who served 32 years for a murder she did not commit was released from prison. Mary Jones of California was released Monday afternoon, after a Judge was given new evidence showing she was forced by then abusive boyfriend to participate in a crime. After serving a life sentence, she pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of manslaughter.Known to her loved ones as "Mother Mary" was represented by law students from the University of Southern California's Post-Conviction Justice Project.
