The fire started at about 5.30 p.m. at the first floor of its Lagos office, was put out by a combined team of fire fighters from the CBN and other institutions.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has assured stakeholders that the fire incident in its office in Lagos would not affect its business transaction.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Isaac Okoroafor, on behalf of the CBN Director of Communications in Abuja.
“We wish to assured our numerous stakeholders that the records of the bank are intact.
“The CBN has an effective backup of all its records as part of our disaster recovery infrastructure,’’ the statement said.
