Nyanya Bomb Mastermind Caught In Sudan.
A co-mastermind of the April 14, 2014 bomb blast at Nyanya Bust Station which led to the death of over 75 persons, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche may have been arrested in Sudan.
Security sources hinted that Oguche was arrested through the help of the Military Attaché to the Nigerian High Commission in Sudan with the help of international security operatives.
Ogwuche, who is a student of Arabic Language at the International University of Africa, Sudan, is a British-born Nigerian, formerly of the Nigerian Army with service number SVC 95/104 but was said to have deserted the Army in 2006.
The Department of State Services (DSS), had on Monday 12, May 2014 during a joint news conference in Abuja declared him and one Rufai Tsiga wanted for the bombing of Nyanya Motor Park on 14 April which killed over 75 people. The DSS through its Director of Public Relations of DSS, Marilyn Ogar, announced the declaration.
According to the Department of State Security, Ogwuche served in the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Army at Child Avenue, Arakan Barracks, Lagos, between 2001 and 2006.
He was allegedly involved in terrorist activities which led to his arrest at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on November 12, 2011 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on arrival from the UK.
Ogwuche was however, released on bail to his father, Col. Agene Ogwuche (rtd) on October 15, 2012 following intense pressure from human rights activists, who alleged human rights violation.

The Nigerian Army is a very capable military organization. The problem, however, is the duality of loyalty that seems to be so prevalent among some Muslim members of its rank and file. You cannot have a viable military or defense body when the soldiers have split loyalties. Some among the rank and file are loyal---- or pretend to be loyal--- to the Nigerian military by day. By night and due to their Muslim faith and ethnic affiliation, their allegiance shifts to the Boko Haram whom they gleefully furnish with the most valuable pieces of information and materiel needed to advance the group's insurgency. The enemy within is far more dangerous and capable of inflicting greater damage, don't you know? That, in my opinion, is the number one problem facing the Nigerian Army right now.
Amah Jones you are being obtuse.
is your solution then, to bar all northern and muslim citizens from joining the army?
How do you hope to have counter-infiltration of the Boko Haram ranks by isolating your would-be allies?
are you really interested in a lasting solution or would you much prefer an 'us and them' free for all?
PEOPLE LIKE YOU WITH YOUR PSEUDO PATRIOTISM are Really the Problem all your drivel or "opinion" is geared towards war and bloodshed.. NOTHING of substance can be expected from you.
a lasting solution, is to secularize the army and de-tribalize it. it should be drilled into them that they are government property and treated as such. in the long-term this should also be implemented to the nation at large in programs and outreaches and even intermarriages.
too many people want to boast about their affiliation at the expense of the general good.
