Boko Haram Attacks: Dasuki Needs To Resign As NSA.....Lagos Lawmaker

National Tragedies: Lagos Lawmaker Calls For Dasuki To Resign As NSA

Deputy Whip of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rotimi Abiru, has called for the immediate resignation of National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, over the endless bombing of public places by members of the Boko Haram sect.

Abiru who stated this while reacting to the May Day bombing at Nyanya, Abuja, on Thursday night, said that many Nigerians have been calling on President Goodluck Jonathan to resign “but the first person that should resign is the NSA, who is in charge of advising the President on security of the nation”.

“It is most embarrassing and shameful that two separate bomb attacks could take place at a particular place in less than a month and the NSA could remain in his position. It has made nonsense of the security network of the nation.

“It is so sad that this is happening in a nation whose largest chunk of the budget is spent on defence. I think the nation’s National Security Adviser, should resign before President Jonathan follows him,” Abiru said.

He however pointed out that for Nigeria to be calling on the United State of America (USA) for help is an indication and acceptance that Nigeria is a failed state, “and something urgently needs to be done to preserve the unity of the nation”.

“It is obvious that the Presidency is clueless on the solution to the nation’s woes. And once a government cannot guarantee the security of lives and property of the citizens, then such government is incapable and the best thing is to resign,” Abiru added.
