Abubakar Shekau, head of Nigeria’s Boko Haram terror group, has voiced his support for the extremist Sunni Islamic State (IS) militant group, which is responsible for the takeover of large swathes of Iraq and Syria.
In the new video, which he released on Sunday (and given to AFP), he said “my brethren…may Allah protect you,” and listed IS chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Ayman al-Zawahiri (al-Qaeda head) and Taliban leader Mullah Omar.
