A new man will be seating in the governorship seat of Adamawa State in North-East Nigeria within hours.
He is the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ahmed Umaru Fintri, who is scheduled to be sworn-in as Acting Governor following today’s impeachment of embattled Governor Murtala Nyako and the last-minute resignation of his deputy James Bala Ngilari, who faced impeachment with his principal over alleged corruption.
“Speaker Fintri will be sworn-in within hours as Acting Governor by the state Acting Chief Judge, Justice Ambrose Mammadi,” a source close to Adamawa power brokers told News Express.
Hon. Fintri will be in charge until Adamawa goes to the polls in three months to elect a new governor.
