According to a BBC report, 480 Nigerian soldiers are now camping out in Cameroon after fleeing from Boko Haram insurgents.
Fierce fighting between both parties led to the troops being disarmed and then pushed out.
The spokesperson for the Cameroonian army, Lt Col Didier Badjek has said that the Nigerian soldiers are now being accommodated in schools.
An intense battle is said to still be ongoing in the Gamboru-Ngala area of Borno.
A Nigerian soldier recently told the BBC that he and his colleagues are refusing to fight Boko Haram until they are equipped with better weapons.
