** Why Nigerian Government lied and claimed to be the owner of the money.
*** Why the South African Government is pressing ahead with prosecution of the three individuals.
**** How this affect future relationship between South Africa and Nigeria.
**** How the rest of the world are reacting to this most strategically significant corruption in Nigeria.
****** How all of a sudden Nigerian army began to defeat Boko Haram just days after the 9.3 million dollars scandal in South Africa.
******* Why the weapons being bought could not have been for the Nigerian Army.
****** Why the involvement of CAN President was not a mere coincidence of the use of his plane.
If you are honest and thoughtful person, you must ask questions about the 9.3 million dollars.
South African Government is not allowing a diplomatic resolution because the transaction was not Nigerian Government transaction. It was not an official government operation. The government only came in to protect the individuals involved. The South African authorities were actually watching out for these guys because the SA authorities have been tracking them.
SA knew that those involved were highly connected to the Government of Nigeria. They knew what they have been doing. They were determined not to allow them this time. So, when Nigeria acted in a predictable manner by intervening to own the crime, SA refused to budge. Nigeria cannot protest too much because that would force SA to reveal a lot more about these individuals.
All the story about how the US blocked Nigeria from purchasing arms was a big lie peddled by these same people to throw some wool into the eyes of the people. It is a bullshit story that never made sense.
Also the story that they were buying arms in SA was false. The company they claimed to be buying the arms from has denied them. If the money was to be used in buying arms, it must be from somewhere else or another arms dealer that was not disclosed for obvious reasons.
If the money was to be used in buying arms, the arms were not for the Nigerian army. Alternatively, the money was just heading to an offshore account for Nigerian government official. We don't know who exactly the politician is. But the list is a short one.
US government has been following this event and one can reasonably believe that the US has a file on the officials involved and is building up a case. Also, US refusal to share information with the Nigerian Government on Boko Haram was largely connected with the US discovery of the truth about the war and how it was being fought.
If you can unravel this 9.3 million dollar scandal, you will end corruption in Nigeria as well as end the war with Boko Haram. Note that those involved in this scandal will go to all extents including mass murder to cover it up.
There is likely to be a connection between this scandal and the sudden turn of events in the war against Boko Haram. It is an irony that we began to defeat Boko Haram at the same time as we failed to buy the weapons supposedly meant to be used against Boko Haram.
