Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage shared this photo on her Instagram page on Monday,
showing of her bodyguard at the recently held 9th annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) which took place at the NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts in New York.
This same bodyguard happened to have been previously hired by American artist, Chris Brown.
Tiwa wrote:
"I figured if he can take care of Chris Brown then he can take care of MrsBillz ... Shoutout to my dope bodyguard @dragotheking PS I think he is single ladies so all enquiries through me #10%Commission"
My first reaction when I saw the photo was: "okay does she really need a bodyguard in America?" But I figured out later that this was the NEAs. Majority of the crowd will be of Nigerian and African heritage. Tiwa is well-loved and it's very likely she could get mobbed by fans who want a photo with her or an autograph.
I don't think she was showing off. She's a star and like every other star is entitled to a bodyguard. Ride on babe!
