Immigration Quarantine’
Bill O’Reilly tonight outlined a plan for combatting the Ebola threat in the U.S., calling for an immigration quarantine and a temporary end to flights from West Africa.
“The Factor” host said that there is an epidemic of Ebola, and it will spread. He said that flights from West African nations to the U.S. should be discontinued until the epidemic subsides.
“President Obama should order an immigration quarantine,” O’Reilly added, stressing that West Africans should not be admitted into the U.S. until the Ebola outbreak is under control.
“In cases of life and death, you must err on the side of caution,” he said.
Alan Colmes and Andrea Tantaros joined O’Reilly to discuss his proposal.
Colmes called it “scare-mongering” and said that passengers who attempt to board planes in West Africa with a fever are not allowed on.
“You’re insane,” Tantaros told him. “We’re going to rely on the West African nations, who clearly cannot contain this virus.”
She added that we’re not equipped to deal with an Ebola outbreak and that one patient can shut down a hospital. She also noted that Obama said Ebola would not end up here, and yet it has.
