President Goodluck Jonathan and President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, had earlier today held closed door talks at the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja.
Mr. Buhari arrived the villa at about 3p.m. Friday (today).
It was gathered that during the meeting, President Goodluck Jonathan proposed a tour of the State House for Mr. Buhari.
Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting, Mr. Jonathan said, “We will take a date when the president will come and I will show him round the state house but today is not for that.
“Today is to continue with our conversation. We don’t need to worry the President,” he said.
On the outcome of the closed door meeting, Mr. Jonathan said, “You can see that we are smiling, it was a fruitful one”.
He said the discussions were “in the interest of the country”.
When it was his turn to speak to reporters, Mr. Buhari simply said, “The president had said it all”.
