“We voted against you but don’t be sectional” – Aka Ikenga tells Buhari

Once again, citizens from the Igbo tribe have asked the President-Elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to rule the nation as a whole and not in sections which would favour only does who voted him in.
Goddy Uwazurike the President of Igbo Think Tank, Aka Ikenga in a chat with a daily newspaper urged the All Progressives Congress candidate to see the entire country as his constituency when he assumes office on May 29, 2015 and avoid being sectional.
Uwazurike also said that the sharing of key positions and statutory allocations should not be done on the basis of who voted for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or not.
Ever since the elections in which people of the South East massively voted against Buhari, concerns have been aired on whether the region would benefit from key positions in the incoming administration. Some Nigerians have said the region lost its chance to produce the next Senate President as it voted against all the senatorial candidates fielded by the APC in the zone.
But according to Uwazurike, Buhari should endeavour to see the entire country as his constituency and avoid marginalizing any zone because they did not vote for him and his party. Doing this, according to him may have negative consequences for the incoming government.

Completing a rundown of the 29 states where elections held was the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), on whose platform Willie Obiano won the Anambra state governorship election in December 2013. In the category of APGA’s hold on Anambra are six other states – Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Ondo, Kogi and Osun – where election did not hold this year. Of these six, four belonged to PDP, which means PDP won only nine states at the 2015 governorship election. Alongside the latest entrants – Okezie Ikpeazu, Rochas Okorocha, and Darius Ishiaku – we present you a full list of the winners, as well as their closest challengers, in the governorship election.
