Another young Nigerian is undertaking a trek from Abuja to Otuoke in Bayelsa State, the hometown of President Goodluck Jonathan to honour him as the hero of democracy.
Oladele John Nihi, the man who is walking from Abuja to Otuoke, Bayelsa to honour President Goodluck Jonathan, has gotten a female companion to go along with him on his journey.
Her name is Gloria.
Nihi has been giving updates on their journey together via Twitter:
The season of trekking in Nigeria is not in a hurry to end as another young man, Oladele John Nihi from Kogi State, has commenced his own trek but this time, he is taking a trip down south to President Goodluck Jonathan's country home of Otuoke in Bayelsa State, to honour the Nigerian leader as the 'Hero of Democracy.'
Nihi who is starting from Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, kicked off today, Monday, April 4, at 6 am and hopes to meet the President in his hometown to celebrate him for sustaining democracy and keeping to his promise of free, fair and transparent election in the country.
Nihi also set up a trending Twitter hashtag, #TrekForGEJ and promises to update his movements so that followers will know of his progress and keep up with him.
This is a new one in this era of trekking as others before him have been trekking to different places to celebrate the winner of the 2015 presidential election, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
