An Oregon county is facing a lawsuit from the inmate two jail workers admit they had sex with.
The inmate, Jang-Li Delgado-Galban, filed notice that he intends to sue, claiming damages related to Brett Robinson and Jill Curry having sex with him repeatedly last year, reports The Oregonian.
Both former jail workers pleaded guilty to charges related to sexual misconduct, and Curry was sentenced in March to four years in jail. Robinson is in jail until her June 2 sentencing.
Delgado-Galban, 25, is a gang member and sex offender currently in state prison for attempted second-degree assault, among other convictions.
Court records show he passed a sexually explicit note to a nurse last year and forcefully kissed a female inmate.
The inmate’s name was first made public by KPTV.
The Washington County prosecutor said that when a sheriff’s deputy went to lunch, jail services technician Jill Curry was alone in the maximum-security unit.
The prosecution alleged she pressed a button to unlock the inmate’s cell and then met him in the closet on 13 occasions.
Curry pleaded guilty in February to custodial sexual misconduct and other charges.
A probation officer who did a pre-sentence investigation recommended a two-year sentence.
But Judge Charles Bailey accepted the recommendation from prosecutors for a four-year term.
The judge rejected the claim that the 25-year-old inmate seduced Curry.
Robinson, who worked in a maximum security control room known as ‘the bubble’, struck up a relationship with Delgado-Galban in a nearby cell. The two would talk using an intercom when Robinson’s manager left the room.
