Senate President Olusola Saraki Holds Secret meeting with Obasanjo and Andy Uba

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, held a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital this morning.
Saraki arrived Obasanjo’s residence at about 9.20a.m, along with former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Senators Ben Bruce, Andy Uba, among others.
The group then proceeded into the inner chamber of the former President’s home.
It is not clear why the Senate President and his entourage are visiting the former President.
But it is connected with the manner in which the Former Kwara state governor emerged as Senate President.
Saraki was elected as Nigeria’s Senate president unopposed following a controversial manner some analysts have described as ‘a coup’.
His emergence sparked crisis in the ruling APC, which backed his main challenger, Ahmed Lawan, for the position.
Although the party claimed it has accepted Saraki’s leadership of the Senate, attempts at full reconciliation are still afoot and uneasy calm remains within the party’s fold
