Today 40 years ago....Murtala Mohammed became head of state

On July 30, 1975, exactly forty years ago, Murtala Mohammed became Nigeria’s head of state. His was an administration full of promise that was however cut short less than a year later when he was felled by an assassin’s bullet. Here are a few infographics depicting Murtala Mohammed’s life and the legacy that lives on forty years later.
