Jennifer Akudihor on her way to court
A Nigerian woman who traveled to the United States of America for holidays, Jennifer Akudihor, has been caught while stealing goods worth over $2,000 at Macy Oak Park Mall, in Johnson County, reports KBMC.According to the reports, Akudihor who went to the States with three of her children, was nabbed after a CCTV showed her stealing 66 different items including clothes and accessories, and stuffing them under the stroller and was pushing through the entrance of the shop before she was arrested by the police.Akudihor who has been charged with felony theft, was ordered to hand over her passport while the case is pending in court with her bail set at $2,500.An Overland Park Police Department spokesman, Sgt. Gary Mason, in his report, said:“The officer in the report said that she was very apologetic and remorseful, and that does go a long way, and he put that in the report, so I think it does help in this situation.Everybody has a story. There’s always a lot of reasons why people do this, and it’s not for us to decide. It’s up to the courts and the judge to look at her case.”Mason added that he was not sure what motivated the thefts and whether the items were taken simply because Akudihor didn't have money to pay for them."This certainly isn't the way to go about it. Now she's going to have some legal problems that she's going to have to deal with,"Mason concluded.
