Porn site offers students $25,000 college scholarship
Pornhub's vice president admits that 'if you're an anti-pornography crusader' perhaps you shouldn't apply

A popular pornography site is offering money to a student - and its got nothing to do with nudity.Pornhub, which has 78.9 billion reported online video views annually, according to the Washington Post, is offering a $25,000 scholarship to an American student for college.To qualify, the student need only an 1,000- to 1,500-word essay on the topic 'How do you strive to make others happy?'The site's scholarship ad proclaims 'It's been said how you make others feel about themselves says a lot about you.'

The applicant must also submit a two- to five-minute video that 'elaborates on the good work that you do and anything else that you might want to say.'Critics say the scholarship is an 'amazing and deceptive marketing tactic' aimed at poor students who may not realize the harm pornography can cause.
Dawn Hawkins, executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, told the Washington Post, 'These videos follow them the rest of their lives and affect their jobs and relationships in the future to have this out there. It’s really unfortunate we’re forcing our kids to sell their bodies to get an education.'
Miriam Weeks, also known by her porn star name Belle Knox, was a Duke University student who went into pornography in part to ease her crushing$60,000 a year tuition costs.
But the porn site says it's all just about making people happy. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, and it is open to any student's major, be it 'medicine, botany, paranormal psychology, or anything in between.'
It also encourages recipient hopefuls to be 'creative.'
Applicants must be fully enrolled students and 18 years of age or older. The deadline is October 31.The site says it will be looking for young people who are 'compelling examples of students who pay it forward,' who demonstrate leadership capabilities, and that 'originality always scores bonus points.'
But the porn site realizes not everyone will appreciate its apparent beneficence.
'If you’re against pornography and an anti-pornography crusader, this is probably not the scholarship for you,' admitted Pornhub's vice president, Corey Price.'We work hard to help make millions of people feel happy every single day,' said the scholarship's site, Pornhub Cares. 'In turn, we would like to help support the recipient of the first annual Pornhub Cares Scholarship to realize their goal of doing the same.'
