CCTV Exposes Receptionist, Security Guards Assisting Robbers To Raid Lagos Hotel A hotel receptionist and two private security guards and four other members of an armed robbery gang, who posed as hotel customers to rob have been arrested by the police in Lagos State. The CCTV camera at the hotel exposed the receptionist and the two security men, who were all said to have shared from the proceeds of the robbery incident. The suspects had successfully operated at Opracini Hotel, where they made away with money and other valuable items, before they were arrested by the police. The armed robbers reportedly moved from one room to another in the hotel, where they ransacked belongings of the hotel lodgers. According to Nigerian Tribune, a receptionist at the hotel, provided the gang members with the keys to all the rooms in the hotel. The private security operatives at the hotel also allegedly connived with the armed robbers. The two security men at the hotel were said to have given the necessary information on how to beat the security trap at the hotel. One Ogbogo and a prostitute had posed as lodgers in the hotel and provided an avenue for other members of the gang to penetrate the hotel. The image maker in charge of the state police command, Dolapo Badmus confirmed the arrest of the suspects to Lagos Metro, saying, “On February 22, 2016 at about 0540hrs, there was distress call of robbery at Opracini Hotel at 16, Fatai Close off Balogun Street, Iju Ishaga Lagos. “On the strength of investigation and from the report of CCTV footage in the hotel, some of the suspected robbers and accomplices were arrested. “The suspects have been transferred to SARS Ikeja. The command remains resolute in ridding the state of all forms of criminalities.”
