Woman, 35, faces two years in prison for Facebook posts calling her former friend a 'slut' and a 'coke head' which included her phone number and a warning about STDs

A Michigan woman is facing jail after making vicious comments online calling her former friend a 'slut' and a 'coke head' before posting her phone number on Facebook.Rene K. Kolka, 35, of Bay City, was arrested after the 45-year-old alleged victim complained about the derogatory social media posts, MLive reports.Court records show Kolka calling the woman a 'slut' and 'skinny tall coke head' before warning that 'We all know her skanky ways... don't catch an STD'. She also posted her former friend's phone number on the Facebook page.The complainant said she had been left embarrassed by the messages and claimed she has received numerous calls from men after Kolka made the posts. She also complained that the experience had been damaging to her career. Kolka and the alleged victim had been friends until a fall out around two years ago, the court heard.But the 45-year-old said she couldn't understand why her former friend was making the malicious posts now.





When police confronted Kolka, she claimed her Facebook account had been hacked and that she wasn't responsible for the posts.However, officers did not believe her and a warrant was issued for her arrest on January 4.Last Friday, she appeared voluntarily for arraignment in Bay County District Court where she faces charges of unlawful posting of a message which caused distress or harassed a victim.She is due back in court on March 8 for a preliminary examination.If found guilty, she could face up to two years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
