FHM MAGAZINE:FHM Apologise For 'Racist' Front Cover

CONTROVERSY: FHM apologises for controversial cover after racism row
MEN'S MAGAZINE FHM were forced to change the front cover of their March issue after they were accused of racism.
The Philippines version of the popular publication initially featured white actress, Bela Padilla surrounded by three black models, with the caption 'stepping out of the shadows'.
Outraged FHM readers then bombarded the Facebook page of the publication and voiced their anger on Twitter, causing them to 're-examine' the cover.
One angry fan tweeted: "Racial Sensitivity Philippines...look it up! I hate that FHM cover too. Insensitive and leaves a bad taste ;s [sic]."
"I think the FHM staff should've known better, re: Bella Padilla cover. Such a lapse of judgment in the copy [sic]," added another commenter.
In a statement the magazine wrote: "We took all the points into consideration and have decided to take the side of sensitivity."
"When FHM hits the stands in March it will have a different cover. We deem this to be the most prudent move in the light of the confusion over the previous cover execution."
"We apologise and thank those who have raised their points. We apologize to Bela Padilla for any distress this may have caused her. In our pursuit to come up with edgier covers, we will strive to be more sensitive next time," they added.
