On stage, she is simply known as OGE but to those who love details her full name is Ogechukwu Nwamaka Onwubuya. Born on the 14th day of August 1985 in Ikeja, Lagos State, it wasn’t too long before she began to show interest in music. At age 10 OGE started singing as a hobby though she did sing in the school choir in her days of highschool up until 2003 when she picked it up professionally with the encouragement of her father.
Inspired by the likes of the great legend Bob Marley, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica, Lauryn Hill and of course our very own Ras Kimono, OGE has a blend of roots reggae, lovers rock and dancehall vibes that meets the demand of every reggae fan. She has pulled electrifying performances at world class shows including the prestigious concerts such as
: Summer Jam 2010 with Uwe Banton (in Germany)
: Kasumama Festival with Rocky Dawuni (in Austria)
: Ruhr Reggae Summer 2009/10 with Uwe Banton (in Germany)
: Reggae Jam with Uwe Banton (In Germany)
To mention a few and has also had solo performances in various shows, clubs and events in Germany such as
Studio 9 in Bielefeld Germany
Markandu in Paderborn Germany
Nigerian community award in Hamburg Germany

And a host of other concerts in Europe. Motherland Nigeria has also had a taste of OGE’s vibes as she held it down at the 2010 Independence celebration at Elegushi beach in Lagos, Festival of Love by Julius Agwu 2011 in Abuja and the Bob Marley day celebrations in Jos Plateau state and Lagos 2012.
When she is not making music, OGE is either swimming, reading or traveling round the world. In one clause OGE is a dynamite that is about to explode all up in your faces in no time, so watch out for her as she takes Nigerian reggae/dance-hall scene to a whole new level.
The wait is over! Finally the anticipated Singles of the Dance Hall/Reggae singer Oge Kimono is here.
