Rush Limbaugh worried Ohio kidnap victims might receive welfare benefits

After three women were found locked away for over a decade in a Cleveland, Ohio home, the American people paused and focused on this bizarre story. While most offered their sympathy, one right-wing talker wasn't so caring.
Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were found locked in the home of Ariel Castro over a decade after they were reported missing. Charles Ramsey, the neighbor, heard the screams of Berry, now 24, and helped kick down the door and called the police. The women are now safe and Castro and his two brothers have been taken into custody.
The support for the three women and praise for Ramsey has been loud and clear, butduring his radio show this week, conservative commentator Rush Limbaughwas more concerned over whether the victims were going to receive welfare benefits. Limbaugh also made it a point to mention that Ohio voted for President Obama in the last election and cited a recent episode of "Hawaii Five-0" for his concern.
“Hawaii Five-O‘s premise last night was kidnapped girls held until they were 18 and then let go or killed, well, always killed, by a couple doing it for the welfare benefits...Now I don’t know what happened in Cleveland, but I couldn't help but make the connection. I mean, if everybody else in the low-information crowd is going to use what happens on TV for reality, why can’t I?
Three brothers, but not related the the three women, have been arrested in Cleveland, which voted Obama. Not that that’s got anything to do with anything! One of who has a baby. Double welfare benefits if one of the women has a baby.”
The amazing story which still continues to unfold is one of mystery and heartache. Though most people are touched and thankful that the three girls are still alive, one can't be too surprised by the outlandish and heartless comments made by Rush Limbaugh.
