Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho set to Land Mario Balotelli in January transfer Market

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been alerted to the possibility of bringing AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli to London after his agent admitted a move may be on the cards.

The performance of the three Chelsea forwards Samuel Eto’o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba in the Premier League this season has shown us why Mourinho was so eager to land a big name striker this past transfer window.

Only Eto’o has managed to score a solitary goal in the league so far, that came in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Cardiff last weekend. The Blues have been heavily reliant on their midfield to score the goals this season.

However, things might change in January as Metro is reporting that former Manchester City striker Balotelli has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Mourinho. The ‘Special One’ has worked with the Italy striker during their time together at Inter, and is keen to reunite with him at the Bridge.

The striker has been in sensational form for the Rossoneri, scoring 15 goals in 17 matches so far. However, his agent Mino Raiola has hinted that the striker could be on the move again soon.

He said, “There is an exaggerated amount of attention on him. We all need to calm down and analyse how things are going with Milan. Italy will not be the final stage of his career, for sure.” - [via Transfersplay.com]
