Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has again called out President Goodluck Jonathan over his leadership skills.
Obasanjo said yesterday, August 24,2014 that Jonathan’s regime is similar to that of dictator, Sani Abacha.
According to reports, the former president said this while speaking to a group of traders in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Obasanjo told a story of someone who had come to him for financial help. He said:
“I told him (sender of the message) we experienced this at the time of Abacha, the middle class was completely destroyed”.
“I was surprised the day a Colonel in the army came to me complaining that he and his family could not afford to buy a car,”
The PDP chieftain further added that Nigerians need to be alert and vigilant and also willing to contribute to things that are meaningfully positive for the country.
On December 2, 2013, Chief Obasanjo wrote an 18-page letter to President Jonathan in which he severely criticized the latter’s administration and accused him of training snipers in preparation for the 2015 elections.
