Gov Wike receives Certificate of Return, promises good governance

The Rivers State Governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike, has promised the people of the state that he would not disappoint them on his pre-election promises.
He said this yesterday in Port Harcourt, after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), adding that his administration would reach out to the needs of the entire Rivers people without bias, irrespective of party affiliation.
He also promised not to witch-hunt anybody in his administration, stressing that he will not use the time meant for the development of the state to witch-hunt his political opponents.
Meanwhile, the former vice chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State,  Ohuondu Onuchukwu, expressed happiness with the victory of PDP in the state and said that the party had survived four years of estrangement.
Onuchukwu said that Rivers PDP had regained its stolen mandate through a stiff battle. He urged the All Progressives Congress, (APC) to concede defeat in the interest of the state.
