Department of State Security ( DSS), arrested comrade Egberipapa for plotting to assassinate
Nigeria's outgoing President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday. The Senate President, David Mark and some top government officials were also mentioned as possible targets of the violent assassination plan.

The mastermind of the plot, Gen.Egberipapa was arrested through a tip off in an undisclosed hotel in Abuja, last night. He checked into the said hotel with a fake name when he was arrested. General Egberipapa was the former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND. He is also known as Sobomabo Jackrich.
